About
Through Delta and DeltaAI, NCSA will continue its long tradition of advancing positive change in the use of computational and data-enabled methods that further human understanding of our world.
The Delta Complex consists of two distinct units, each designed to work toward specific research goals.
Delta
Delta advances the adoption and use of graphics processors for computational and data-enabled research, increases the use of non-POSIX file systems for the vast majority of research applications, and improves usability and accessibility of the researcher-facing interfaces on advanced computing and data resources.
Delta AI
DeltaAI will enable scientists and researchers to address the world’s most challenging problems by accelerating complex artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing applications running terabytes of data. Tripling NCSA’s AI-focused computing capacity and greatly expanding the capacity available within the NSF-funded advanced computing ecosystem, DeltaAI will utilize advanced web-based interfaces that will make it more accessible to the growing community of domains employing AI methods in their research.
Illinois Computes
University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign researchers will have early access to DeltaAI thanks to an investment by Illinois Computes. Learn more about Illinois Computes resources.
